Influence of Niacin and Inositol on Faecal Excretion of Cholesterol and Bile Acid of Albino Rats Kept on High Cholesterol Diet
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Altschul et al observed a lowering of serum cholesterol in humans after the ingestion of large doses of niacin. This lowering of the blood cholesterol level by means of large doses of niacin has been confirmed by others. Schon has observed a decrease in the cholesterol content of liver of rats kept on a special hypolipotropic diet when the animals were given 2-4 per cent of niacin in the diet.Downloads
