Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a complex multifactor disorder and in Asian Indians this is approximately four times greater, with a prevalence approaching nearly twenty per cent which is the highest in the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the prevalence in developing countries is due to the adoption of western life style, smoking, high fat diet and lack of exercise.Downloads
