Abstract

With rapid industrialization, socioeconomic development and increase in life expectancy, there has been a significant change in the life style of people. Dietary affluence coupled with sedentary life styles and imbalanced diets contribute to several chronic degenerative diseases such as cardiovascular diseases (CVD), diabetes and cancer.
