Simple Summation formulae Involving Associated Legendre Functions

Abstract

In this paper, we obtain some new summation formulae involving associated Legendre Functions. New formulae for ordinary Legendre functions are also deduced as particular cases. It is claimed that the results (5) to (40) except (29) and part of (35) are all new ; out of which (5), (6), (18), (19), (20), (22) involve associated Legendre functions and the others involve ordinary Legendre functions.
