Abstract
Nutritional anaemia is believed to be the most wide spread nutritional disorder in the world affecting 30 per cent of the world's population. It is more common among the expectant mothers. The WHO report gives the anaemia prevalence picture at global level as 55.9 per cent among the expectant mothers. In South Asia 65 per cent of pregnant women are affected by nutritional anaemia. In India, the incidence of anaemia among expectant mothers is alarmingly high.Downloads
