Abstract

Children constitute the most precious resource for a country. Hence, atmost care must be exercised to promote their health and to protect them from diseasess In India about one to two per cent of pre-school children belonging to poor communities suffer from the severe forms of protein - energy malnutrition like kwashiorkor and marasmus.
