Abstract

The effect of dietary proteins on absorption, transport and storage of vitamin A from the liver has been a subject of investigation for many nutritionists. Early studies, have shown that with a low level of dietary proteins, vitamin A storage in the liver was reduced and the rate at which stored vitamin A depleted was raised. Friend et al Mathew and Beaton, Deshmukh and Ganguly and Frape et al have confirmed these findings.
