Abstract
In India prevalence of coronary artery disease is 30/1000. The burden of cardiovascular disease has increased by 100 per cent in both rural and urban areas. Studies have proved that the incidence of cardio vascular disease is reduced by supplementing fiber rich foods in the diet there by lowering and changing pattern of living with regular exercise programme. Incorporating fiber in the diet brings about reduction in serum cholesterol by preventing absorption.Downloads
