Abstract
The problem of malnutrition is rampant in India. The high incidence of nutritional problems among weaned infants and young children call for effective steps to improve the nutrient content and quality of the Indian diets. Recently, faba bean (Vicia faba L.) has been positively considered as a noval leguminous protein source by the nutrition experts as a substitute after soybean products to meet the challenge of malnutrition in developing countries.Downloads
